Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and efficient surgeries
• Prepare the operating room by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
• Monitor patient vitals and status throughout surgery, anticipating needs of the surgical team
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency and weekend surgeries

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho or compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an operating room setting
• Proven skills in trauma, neuro, and ortho surgical specialties
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and take call on weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
• Familiarity with a variety of surgical instruments and equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stay calm and focused during critical procedures
• Adaptability to handle diverse surgical cases
