Location: Hilo, Hawaii

Start Date: 07-13-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied 8-hour shifts including weekends and holidays. Candidate must be flexible with no guarantee of hours or shift preference

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
Administer medications and treatments with precision and care
Coordinate with physicians and nurse practitioners on patient updates
Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide compassionate support
Manage specialized care including gastrostomy tubes, urinary catheters, wound vacs, CPAP, and tracheostomy care
Handle admissions and discharges while ensuring seamless patient transitions

Qualifications

Active Hawaii nursing license required by start date
BLS/BCLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Point Click
Compassionate approach to long-term care nursing
