Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure safe deliveries
- Assist physicians with deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures
- Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
- Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent L&D experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and interventions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
