Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Assist with induction of labor, including the use of cook catheters and oxytocin
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals to ensure safety
• Insert IVs, draw labs, and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Assist anesthesiologists during epidural placements
• Care for mothers and newborns in the mother-baby unit
• Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses and obstetricians
• Administer medications and manage labor pain

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license or compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
• At least 2 years of hospital experience in Labor and Delivery
• Ability to circulate for C-sections
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Experience with Meditech Expanse and CPN is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpreting tracings
• Proficiency in IV insertion and lab draws
• Knowledge of induction methods (Cervidil, Pitocin, Cook catheter)
• Skilled in sterile technique and vaginal exams
• Experience with Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal EMR
• Comfortable using Alaris pumps and Ranger fluid warmer
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
