Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems while responding swiftly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, fellows, residents, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to various inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide needs and broaden your clinical experience
Respond to Rapid Response Team calls and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse to ensure timely interventions

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
Willingness to adhere to the facility's no artificial nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and centralized monitoring
Drip titration and management of vasopressors, paralytics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Caring for patients with respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and renal failure
Experience with equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and rapid transfusers
Strong critical thinking, positive attitude, and collaborative spirit
