Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule made 6 weeks in advance with flexibility required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Titrate life-saving medications including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics with precision
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while delivering hands-on patient care
Float throughout Zone 1 facilities to support patients across varying acuity levels
Collaborate with respiratory therapists to manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen needs
Deliver compassionate care to diverse ICU patients while maintaining 1:1-1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2+ years of ICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Epic experience preferred, especially for first-time travelers
Comfortable floating within a 60-mile zone and across multiple ICU and step-down units
Prior travel nursing experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing and drip titration expertise
Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support
Floating flexibility across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg Telemetry units
Strong assessment and decision-making abilities
