Location: Bay City, Michigan

Start Date: 06-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 60

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with physicians to create individualized care plans that help patients return to optimal health
Provide compassionate bedside nursing care while carrying out medical orders
Delegate and oversee tasks for nursing assistants and support staff
Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed
Integrate evidence-based practices into daily patient care
Facilitate patient conferences and discharge planning
Precept and mentor new employees and students
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Qualifications

Active Michigan nursing license required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Comfortable floating to ED and Step-down units
Travel experience preferred
TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, or SCRN certifications are a plus
Neuro surgical or open heart experience preferred

Evidence-based practice knowledge
Patient and family education skills
Team collaboration and coordination
