Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Assist physicians during colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and other GI procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
• Administer medications and sedation as prescribed
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EHR
• Educate patients and families on procedure aftercare and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding outcomes

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be current)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent endoscopy or critical care experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Ability to start assignment on 08/09/2026
• Willingness to travel and work a 13-week contract (75+ mile radius from facility)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of GI procedures and sterile technique
• Excellent patient monitoring and assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
• Effective communication and patient education skills
• Adaptability to varying shift lengths and patient volumes
