Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for emergency patients
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient vitals and assessments accurately
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during crisis
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Previous ED or critical care experience preferred
• Strong ability to remain calm under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in emergency triage and patient assessment
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Proficient in EHR documentation
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
