Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of urgent conditions
• Perform rapid assessments, triage patients based on acuity, and implement critical interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Previous emergency room or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and emergency procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Compassionate patient advocacy and family support
