Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients in behavioral health settings
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
• Educate patients and families on coping strategies and aftercare resources

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Prior behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing best practices
• Ability to remain calm and composed in crisis situations
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable using electronic health records
• Team collaboration and patient advocacy
