Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate behavioral health nursing care to adolescent patients in a 9-bed unit
• Administer medications accurately and safely using PYXIS
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document in Cerner EMR
• Implement crisis prevention and intervention techniques to maintain a safe environment
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs and behavioral health technicians
• Support patients and families with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current CPI certification required
• Experience with pediatric behavioral health preferred
• Cerner EMR experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Calm and compassionate communication style
• In-depth knowledge of behavioral health medications and administration
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and PYXIS medication systems
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Understanding of adolescent behavioral health needs
