Location: Portland, Oregon

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem schedule, 12.5-hour shifts, no guaranteed hours
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray and imaging exams with a focus on patient safety
- Position patients and explain procedures to ease anxiety and ensure cooperation
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, following radiation safety standards
- Review images for quality and collaborate with radiologists on findings
- Document patient history, procedures, and care in the medical record
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment
- Support patient flow and assist with emergency or urgent imaging needs
Qualifications
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Active Oregon state radiologic technologist license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of radiographic positioning, techniques, and anatomy
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
- Familiarity with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
- Skill in operating digital radiography and portable X-ray equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills to comfort patients and families
- Ability to adapt to changing patient volumes and scheduling needs
