Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel
Location: Fairfax, Virginia
Start Date: 08-03-2026
End Date: 10-31-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy interventions according to each patient's plan of care
- Document patient progress and response to treatment accurately
- Empower patients through education and tailored home exercise programs
- Keep the supervising PT informed on patient status and changes
- Maintain a safe, infection-controlled environment that supports healing
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve their goals
Qualifications
- Active state PTA license (or ability to obtain one)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Ability to follow treatment plans with precision
- Comfort collaborating with physical therapists and the care team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in delivering physical therapy interventions
- Solid patient documentation practices
- Patient teaching and home exercise instruction
- Clear communication with supervising PTs
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary teamwork
