Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions based on each patient's personalized plan of care
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment accurately
• Assist patients with education and home exercise programs to support their recovery
• Keep the supervising Physical Therapist informed about patient status and progress
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance standards to ensure the highest quality of care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active Virginia PTA license (or ability to obtain one)
• Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and interventions
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Proficiency in documentation and treatment planning
• Ability to educate patients on home exercise programs
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
• Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills
