Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel
Location: Alexandria, Virginia
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy interventions based on each patient's personalized plan of care
- Document patient progress and responses to treatment accurately
- Assist patients with education and home exercise programs to support their recovery
- Keep the supervising Physical Therapist informed about patient status and progress
- Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance standards to ensure the highest quality of care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Virginia PTA license (or ability to obtain one)
- Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and interventions
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Proficiency in documentation and treatment planning
- Ability to educate patients on home exercise programs
- Understanding of infection control and safety standards
- Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills
