Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care
• Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress with attention and empathy
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and document patient responses
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support safe patient transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercise programs
• Contribute to a positive clinic culture by being reliable, professional, and patient-focused

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential (California preferred)
• Active basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to commit to a 13-week contract assignment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
• Comfortable with varied schedules and adaptable to changing clinical needs

Education

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or equivalent from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques and patient mobility training
• Competent documentation and charting skills
• Familiarity with common modalities used in outpatient and rehab settings
• Good clinical judgment and the ability to follow plan-of-care directives
• Clear communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
