Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-14-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, 12.5 hours per shift (no break)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered speech and language therapy to pediatric patients
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary care teams to create individualized care plans
- Document patient progress and adapt treatment strategies to each child's unique needs
- Support the team by providing per diem coverage as patient needs arise
- Help create a positive and encouraging therapy experience for children and their families
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Prior pediatric speech therapy experience is strongly preferred
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Skilled in evidence-based assessment and treatment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to document accurately and efficiently
- Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to respond to patient needs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment
