Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for young patients
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards
• Take and develop dental x-rays with care and precision
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage patient records and update charts electronically
• Support the dental team with chairside assistance and ensure a smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Radiography (x-ray) certification as required by state regulations
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children and families
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments
• Familiarity with dental software for patient scheduling and records
• Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Empathy and patience when working with children
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
