Paramedic – UHC Staffing

Location: Breckenridge, Minnesota

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 24 hours on, 24 hours on call (10 minutes response), 96 hours off

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional and compassionate care to patients of all ages in pre-hospital and hospital settings
Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver individualized treatments according to established guidelines
Administer medications safely using the five patient rights and standing orders
Monitor and respond to significant changes or high-risk situations with appropriate interventions
Coordinate patient transfers and communicate status clearly during handoffs
Supervise EMTs and ensure safety for staff and bystanders during emergency responses
Manage ALS level care including CPAP, BiPAP, ventilators, and titratable drips
Document all care accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

Active Paramedic License with Minnesota and either North Dakota or Compact license with proof of privilege to practice
NREMT-P certification
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
ALS level of care experience required
Intubation experience preferred
Ability to work 48 hours per week on a rotating schedule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Proficiency with ALS equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP
Experience with medication administration and titratable drips
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple patients and high-stress situations calmly
