Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, procedures, and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental radiographs as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments with efficiency
• Deliver compassionate care to ensure patient comfort

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Dental assisting certification (CDA preferred)
• Radiology (X-ray) certification
• Current CPR certification
• Prior orthodontic experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Denticon
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Strong chairside manner and patient rapport
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office
• Organizational and multitasking abilities
