Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care including cleanings, examinations, and patient education
• Take and develop dental X-rays, apply sealants and fluoride treatments
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients on preventive care and proper oral hygiene techniques
• Maintain a sterile and organized environment in compliance with infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Experience as a dental hygienist in a clinical setting
• Strong understanding of dental instruments and equipment
• Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and patient assessment
• Knowledge of dental radiography, digital imaging, and safety protocols
• Familiarity with dental software for charting and record keeping
• Exceptional attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to educate and motivate patients for optimal oral health
