Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe environment
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including bracket placement and wire adjustments
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts using Denticon software
• Provide exceptional patient care and a welcoming experience

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or equivalent orthodontic certification required
• Prior experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Proficiency with Denticon software is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Skill in taking dental X-rays and digital imaging
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and patient flow
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Patient-focused with a gentle and caring approach
