Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients, including cleanings, examinations, and preventive treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental records system
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure a smooth patient experience
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients
• Ability to work a 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM schedule
• Recent dental hygiene clinical experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental X-rays
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent patient education and chairside manner
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a dental team
