Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain patient oral health
• Obtain and interpret dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Administer local anesthesia and fluoride treatments as needed
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Partner with dentists and staff to deliver exceptional patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and clinical documentation
