Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized respiratory care for critically ill neonates in the NICU
• Manage ventilators, CPAP, and other respiratory support equipment
• Collaborate with neonatologists and nursing staff to develop care plans
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and emergency airway management
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed
• Educate families on respiratory care and support

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal respiratory physiology and pathophysiology
• Mechanical ventilation modes and weaning protocols
• Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Medication administration and monitoring
• Patient assessment and documentation
• Team collaboration and patient advocacy
