Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift: 10 hours; Night shift: 14-hour home call (must arrive within 30 minutes if called in)

Candidate Pay Rate: $280 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care in a Level III NICU and Special Care Nursery
Attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections to ensure optimal newborn outcomes
Manage ventilation support including BiPAP/CPAP, oscillator, and nitric oxide therapy
Perform essential neonatal procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, and PICC placement
Lead neonatal resuscitation efforts and manage emergency situations
Supervise and collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Document patient care accurately using the EPIC EMR system

Qualifications

Board Certified in Neonatology (Board Eligible candidates may be considered)
Completed fellowship in Neonatology
Active full Michigan medical license at time of submission
Current NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor status
NALS certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatology and neonatal procedures
Strong skills in ventilation management and emergency resuscitation
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to respond within 30 minutes for call coverage
Experience working in Level III NICU settings
