Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct clinical nursing care to clinic patients within the LPN scope of practice — your care makes visits run smoothly
Take and record vital signs, assess patient status, and escalate concerns to providers or RNs as needed
Triage patient calls, determine urgency, and coordinate next steps to keep patients safe and informed
Process medication refill requests and manage necessary prior authorizations so patients get timely access to meds
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers — communicate clearly and compassionately
Give direction to CNAs and schedulers and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient clinic operations

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
Graduate of an approved Nursing Program (LPN program completion)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs, triage, medication refills, and prior authorization processing
Comfortable providing direction to CNAs and schedulers and receiving direction from providers, RNs, and clinical managers
Clinic nursing or gastroenterology experience preferred

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs measurement and documentation
Patient triage and telephone triage skills
Medication refill workflow and prior authorization processes
Basic life support (BLS) and safe clinical nursing care practices
Clinic workflow: delegation, scheduling coordination, and interdisciplinary teamwork
Strong communication and patient liaison skills
