Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the assigned area
Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to orders
Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
Document care thoroughly and communicate effectively with the care team
Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
Support patient and family education, promoting safety and recovery
Respond to urgent situations calmly and follow established protocols

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice (New Mexico)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Clinical experience as an LPN preferred — recent grads with strong skills welcome
Ability to pass required background checks, immunizations, and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (diploma/certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
Patient assessment and the ability to recognize changes in condition
Accurate clinical documentation and charting skills (electronic charting experience a plus)
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Team collaboration, time management, and prioritization skills
