Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) - Per Diem
Location: Waldorf, Maryland
Start Date: 07-15-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Various shifts including overnight 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to elderly residents
- Assist with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
- Support residents' emotional and social well-being
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- CPR certification preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care procedures and safety protocols
- Skill in using patient lifting and transfer equipment
- Understanding of infection control practices
- Basic computer skills for documentation
