Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect
Provide compassionate support during meals, mobility activities, and personal care
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting care accurately
Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment and follow infection control practices
Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (Class: GNA) required
Valid state-required certifications and ability to pass background checks
Comfortable working 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shifts and available for per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
Basic vital sign collection and documentation skills
Familiarity with infection control and resident safety best practices
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary care team
Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
