Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough dental cleanings and polish teeth to maintain oral health
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments in a timely manner
• Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are followed in all treatment rooms
• Screen patients for oral diseases such as gum disease and cavities

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Strong attention to detail for accurate records and diagnostics
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Familiarity with dental radiography and X-ray equipment
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe treatment environment
• Team collaboration skills to support the dental team and patients
