Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, compassionate preventive dental care to patients of all ages, especially children
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene best practices
• Assist the dentist during procedures and chart intraoral conditions
• Maintain thorough patient records and ensure infection control standards
• Create a welcoming, calming environment for pediatric patients

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygiene license in Maryland
• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene (or equivalent)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-friendly demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and radiology techniques
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
• Ability to connect with children and anxious patients
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on high-quality care
