Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the periodontist with a variety of dental procedures, including surgical and non-surgical treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to infection control protocols
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed
• Provide compassionate patient care and ensure comfort during procedures
• Document patient treatment details and update dental records accurately
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental assistant is preferred
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of dental terminology and chairside assisting techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental instrumentation and sterilization
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Radiography (x-ray) certification is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
