Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxes to keep smiles healthy
• Take and interpret dental x-rays to aid in diagnosis
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings for the dentist
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a dental team
• Previous dental hygiene experience is a plus
• Knowledge of dental instruments and software

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in dental cleaning techniques and patient care
• Familiarity with dental radiography and safety standards
• Understanding of oral health assessment and charting
• Proficiency in maintaining clinical records and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
