Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist during patient exams and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and process dental x-rays as directed
• Document patient care and update health records
• Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education
• Maintain a clean and organized operatory

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography/x-ray certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience as a dental assistant or hygienist assistant preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and their uses
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
