Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC shift; typically 3 shifts per week including rotating weekends as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient condition before administering contrast media or performing radiographic procedures.
Perform prescribed radiographic procedures by selecting appropriate voltage, current, and exposure time.
Position patients for optimal views and instruct them on procedure requirements.
Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously or through other body cavities.
Ensure required consent forms are signed before procedures.
Document exam completion and pertinent information in patient charts.
Participate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomes.
Operate portable radiographic equipment throughout the hospital, including critical care and emergency units.
Manage the control desk and perform PACS duties to ensure accurate image transmission.
Teach radiography students proper procedures, equipment operation, and anatomy.
Transport patients to and from the imaging department.

Qualifications

Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
Active Illinois state license as a Radiologic Technologist.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in CT imaging and radiography techniques.
Knowledge of contrast media administration and patient safety.
Skilled in PACS operation and image transmission.
Competent with portable radiographic equipment.
Strong patient positioning and communication skills.
Understanding of quality assurance in radiology.
