Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans to help patients regain independence in daily activities
Collaborate with occupational therapists to modify interventions based on patient progress
Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs
Document patient progress accurately and timely in the EMR system
Contribute to a positive, healing environment in a skilled nursing facility

Qualifications

Active COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) license in California
At least 1 year of recent experience as a COTA in a skilled nursing or rehab setting
AHA BLS certification required
Must be willing to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a interdisciplinary team
Proficiency with EMR systems and documentation
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
