Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support safe transfers, mobility and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Create a warm, respectful environment that supports resident independence and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with direct patient care, lifting and mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Skill in taking and reporting vital signs and observations
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Ability to document care accurately and communicate with clinical staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and resident-focused approach
