Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor patient condition, record vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• New Mexico CNA certification preferred or eligibility for reciprocity
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with night shift schedules and per diem availability
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals: ADLs, vital signs, feeding and hygiene assistance
• Safe patient handling, transfer techniques, and mobility support
• Infection prevention and adherence to standard precautions
• Accurate documentation, charting, and time management
• Team collaboration and clear communication with patients and families
• Situational awareness and timely escalation of clinical concerns
