Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding as needed
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the chart
• Support mobility and safe transfer techniques to prevent falls
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in New Mexico required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Compassionate attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Prior CNA experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but not always required
• Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on patient care skills and awareness of basic clinical signs
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation skills, and the ability to follow care plans
• Good teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills
