Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately and timely
• Support nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and basic treatments
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to improve care
• Document care and changes in patient condition in the chart with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain quickly
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings helpful
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting and standing for shifts
• Reliable, compassionate, and committed to quality patient care

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Clear verbal and written communication for effective handoffs
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
