Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 6-hour shift (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members
Document care provided in a timely and accurate manner following facility policies

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania or completion of a state-approved CNA program (eligible candidates considered)
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care needs
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (standing, lifting, assisting residents)
Willingness to follow infection control procedures and facility protocols

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational knowledge of resident care and ADLs
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and safe handling practices
Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations effectively
Compassionate bedside manner and patience working with older adults
