Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to keep residents safe and comfortable
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to the nursing team
• Support residents with meals and hydration, ensuring nutritional needs are met
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment and uphold infection prevention standards
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine or ability to obtain one
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious and/or medical exemption as required by the facility
• Ability to pass a background check and provide state or federal issued identification
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Willingness to wear a photo badge at all times while on duty
• New graduates welcome; prior experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and hygiene practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting and transferring residents
• Understanding of safety and infection control protocols
