Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately, communicating changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and mobility for residents, following proper lifting and body mechanics
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable environments for residents, following infection control protocols
• Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs are respected and documented
• Document care activities clearly and timely in resident records and report concerns to supervisors

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — ready to practice in New Mexico
• Previous hands-on experience as a CNA preferred, comfortable with night shift duties
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Flexible availability and willingness to accept a PRN block schedule
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

• Hands-on resident care and ADL support
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and reliability in a fast-paced care environment
