Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 24-hour CT surgery coverage, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive 24-hour cardiothoracic surgery coverage at a busy regional hospital
Perform CABG, valve procedures, and thoracic surgeries for a Level 2 trauma center
Respond promptly to surgical emergencies and trauma cases as needed
Collaborate with the hospital's multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system

Qualifications

Board Certification in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery required
Active state license highly preferred; IMLC accepted
Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
Willingness to cover cardiac and thoracic cases essential

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CABG and valve surgery techniques
Strong thoracic surgery capabilities
Comfort managing Level 2 trauma cases
Proficiency with Epic EMR documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
