Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and support to adolescent patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit
• Monitor and document client behavior to ensure a safe and stable environment
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
• Support crisis management and de-escalation using CPI techniques
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to the unique needs of patients with varied mental health conditions

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of current Behavioral Health Technician experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• CPI certification required
• Strong behavioral health inpatient experience preferred
• Crisis management experience preferred
• Flexibility, compassion, and team-player mindset are a must

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient observation and direct care techniques
• Behavior monitoring and documentation
• Understanding of behavioral health inpatient care
• Crisis management and de-escalation skills
• Comfort using EMR systems such as Meditech
• Collaboration with licensed mental health professionals
