Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat residents with communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow studies
Develop personalized therapeutic plans of care with functional goals in collaboration with residents and caregivers
Document all evaluations and treatments per department protocols and regulatory requirements
Provide education to residents and families on communication and swallowing strategies
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and discharge planning
Maintain clinical competency and stay current with professional best practices

Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in dysphagia management and modified barium swallow studies
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for resident-centered care
Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation systems
Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
