Speech-Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-12-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible schedule, shifts available as needed; typically 8.5-hour shifts, may include days, evenings, and weekends
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home practice
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment goals as needed
Qualifications
- Current Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Previous pediatric experience is a plus
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient caseloads
