Roles & Responsibilities

Screen and diagnose disorders of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing with precision and care
Provide expert professional consultations to support patient recovery
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and surgeons to optimize patient outcomes
Treat complex cases in a Level I Trauma Center, making a real difference in acute care

Qualifications

Current Hawaii State license as a Speech Language Pathologist
Current ASHA certification
Current CPR BLS/HCP certification
Completion of FEES course (within 6 months if not upon hire)
Preferred: 1+ year acute care experience, FEES clinical experience, MBS ImP

Education

Advanced degree in Speech Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in adult swallowing, communication, and cognitive evaluation and treatment
Proficiency with FEES and MBS ImP
Skilled in operating augmentative communication equipment, endoscopes, vitalstim, and more
