Roles & Responsibilities

Perform urgent Microbiology STAT testing to deliver rapid results
Execute precise Gram Stains for critical diagnostics
Set up cultures with meticulous attention to detail
Read and interpret cultures to guide patient care
Operate cutting-edge equipment like Virtuos, Biofire, and Verigene
Collaborate with the team in this high-volume microbiology lab serving the entire HCA Denver Market

Qualifications

MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or M (ASCP) certification required
At least 6 months of current hospital Microbiology experience
2+ years overall experience preferred
BLS certification is a plus

Education

ASCP certified MLT, MLS, or M credentials

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Microbiology STAT testing and culture reading
Proficient with Gram Stains and culture set ups
Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
Experience with advanced lab equipment including Virtuos, Liat, Cepheid, Verigene, and Biofire
